Prevention
This disorder is related to other problems that affect mental health and include depression, anxiety, stress, relationships with substance abusers (family and friends), attention deficit disorders, low self-esteem. It can be prevented through the education of parents to their children explaining the harm that can be caused by this addiction, there are also educational prevention programs to prevent young people from consuming substances.
Treatment
Treatment begins with helping the patient recognize that they have a problem through empathy and respect. Discontinue substance use gradually or abruptly for detoxification, receive help and support to physical and emotional symptoms. Participate in support groups in the community.
People who overdose should receive emergency hospital care to control the crisis.
